This is a larger painting of Hoe Point, just a stones throw from my studio. I love the magical quality and ‘otherness’ of the light in this painting. The tide is in and evening is fast approaching as a few surfers take in the last moments of escape.
Porthleven Winter
The setting sun in the winter sky over the never sleeping sea. Loe Bar, Porthleven.
In to the Light
Winter light illuminates the waves as they roll in to the shore, Praa Sands. There is a warmth and a feeling of hope as the suns rays play upon the ever moving turbulent water, stirred up by the south west wind.
Autumn Light
Autumn light on the sea at Poldu Cove on the Lizard Peninsular, one of my favourite beaches. Spectacular seas here in the winter as it is exposed to the full force of any southerly swell.
Evening Tide
