Adrian Brough

Adrian was born in 1962 in Brixham, Devon and moved to Cornwall in 1969. He trained at Camborne college’s ceramics course under William Marshall, head potter at Leach Pottery. He then worked in Newlyn after graduating and established his own studio in Lelant in 1989. His main inspiration is West Penwith of Cornwall, and he says ” I am passionate about the maritime environment and spend much of my time in it surfing or fishing. ” Most of his materials, including clay, come from the ground in Cornwall and he throws his pottery on a traditional Leach kick wheel.
